We analyzed electrocorticogram activities of native Italian speakers, comparing the traces recorded in Broca’s area and in the dominant temporal lobe with the sound envelope of single words and sentences read aloud or listened by the patients. We obtained time delay between sound and neural activities by applying a dynamic warping remodulation of signals. Our results could also be applied to obtain an optimized segmentation of cortical traces in a words/phones classification task.

Abstract
